FREE ADMISSION

Friday, January 9 – 6:00 pm

Saturday, January 10 – 1:00 pm

Sunday, January 11 – 6:00 pm – Special performance with Crimson River and FBC Worship Ministries

TRIBE: Youth Wednesday

6:00 – 7:30 pm

6th – 12th grade students meet weekly to engage with other teenagers and adult volunteers who can encourage them in their faith.  We work to create a supportive space for students to interact as they share a meal together and have some fun through games, activities and conversation. We always follow up with some time for worship and Bible study that focuses on ways that students can apply scripture in their daily lives with families, friendships, school and community.  It can be tough for teenagers to find safe environments that challenge them to deepen their relationship with Jesus, so we hope to build a culture that models Christlike interactions and encourages students to take steps in their faith journey.

First Family Quarterly Business Meeting

0

The next First Family meeting will be held on October 25, in the Sanctuary at 6:00 pm.

At FBC Rockport, we cherish the opportunity to come together as a church family during our quarterly First Family meetings. These meetings are designed to foster open discussion and collective decision-making, allowing every member to play a vital role in shaping the direction of our church. To ensure a fair and organized process, we follow a clear agenda and adhere to the parliamentary procedures outlined in Robert’s Rules of Order. This approach helps us maintain structure and respect for all voices as we make decisions that reflect our shared mission for all people to be shaped by the love of Jesus.

For a meeting to proceed, we require a quorum, which simply consists of the members who are present. Leading these gatherings with care and wisdom, our Pastor, or a designated representative, serves as the Moderator, guiding the discussion and ensuring that every perspective is heard and considered.

If you or a committee have ideas, proposals, or matters you’d like the church to address, we encourage you to reach out to the Pastor/Moderator well ahead of the a scheduled First Family meeting. This allows ample time for thoughtful consideration. Depending on the nature of the matter, the Pastor may entrust it to a dedicated ministry team, a committee, or the Church Council for further exploration. Alternatively, the matter may be placed on the agenda for an upcoming quarterly meeting or, if needed, a specially called business meeting.

We value your participation and look forward to growing together as a family of faith through these meaningful times of connection and decision-making.

Dates for 2026:

January 25, April 26, July 26, and October 25.

Operation Christmas Child

0

You can pick up your shoeboxes in the church foyer starting October 20 or build a box online!

The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to provide God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world, and together with the local church worldwide, to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.  Since 1993, more than 200 million children in more than 150 countries have received an Operation Christmas Child shoebox. Many of these children have never received a gift. The Shoebox gift brings them joy and a touch of God’s love. This whole process is made possible by caring individuals who pack shoeboxes full of quality gifts for children in need.

Build-A-Box-Online at our OCC Goal Page

You can click HERE to go to our OCC goal page. Many of the shoeboxes built online are being used for hard to reach areas. Maybe your LIFE Group class members would be interested in participating with this online ministry! The online boxes are $25, shipping included! You get to choose which items to put in your box, plus you can write a note and upload a picture to be included.

National Shoebox Collection Week

We are the area drop-off location again this year. We will be hosting a curb-side drop-off outside under the church portico, the main entrance, the week of November 18-25. You can also drop off your shoeboxes in the church foyer on Sunday mornings in the large wrapped OCC boxes.

This year our Church goal is 2300 filled shoeboxes. Our online goal of 65 shoeboxes is included in the 2300 box goal. With God’s help, we expect to exceed both goals this year!! God is still at work and children all over the world still need to hear about Him!

Packing Your Shoebox

October – November

From children to seniors, people pack shoebox gifts each year to bless children in need around the world. Parents often use the project to teach their kids about giving. Year round volunteers support these efforts across the country.

Churches and groups of all sizes pack and collect boxes from their communities. FBC Rockport serves as a drop-off location for shoeboxes for the upper coastal bend the third week in November of every year.

December

Thousands of volunteers serve annually inspecting and preparing the shoeboxes for international shipping at the OCC regional collection centers. Every hour work stops for a few minutes to pray for the children who will receive the boxes.
