Greetings from your Minister of Discipleship and Outreach Search Committee!
We are still meeting just about every week and have looked over more than 50 resumes! There was a delay in the publication of our job opening in the Baptist Standard, so even more are expected. Each resume is screened by each member of the committee to decide whether or not to proceed with that candidate. We feel that our decisions have eternal consequences and we hope that our diligence and methodology reflects that. We will likely meet one more time before taking a break during the Christmas season. Please continue to keep your committee, our church, and all potential candidates in your prayers. The trust you have placed in us is never taken lightly and greatly appreciated!

Howdy church family,
With the church having voted to amend the job description for our current vacancy, we have been able to post the job opening on our church website here. A short ad was placed in several Baptist publications directing them to this site for more information. We encourage you to get the word out to other Baptist connections you may have as well! Please remain prayerful for our committee, our church, and the person God is preparing for this position. We are mindful of the trust you have placed in us and are humbled to be allowed to serve the church in this way.

Greetings from your Search Committee,
We continue to meet on a weekly basis and are close to posting the job opening. As we have worked to refine the job description amongst ourselves, with Scott, and with some church staff, we feel that this opening is to have discipleship and ministry as it’s primary focus. The Holy Spirit is moving in our midst to reawaken our church to be more active in these areas as evidenced by Beyond these Walls and missions work, both domestically and abroad, and in other areas. Jeff Lanningham has done a great job in having the church operating effectively in most areas of administration through policy and/or procedures that he enacted. Church staff and the Finance Committee have also taken on more responsibility in administrative areas.
We believe that we are being called from a place of relative calm and complacency to a place of commitment and action. Please continue to provide us with grace and patience as we work through this process. Your continued prayer is coveted! Please remember that we have pledged to one another to keep all of our work confidential. We love you and are striving to be centered in God’s will as we work on your behalf.

This post will update as new information and announcement become available.
Greetings Church Family!
Your Minister of Education Search Committee held its first meeting this past Sunday. The goal of this meeting was organizational in nature. Officers were elected as follows: Chair-Bobby Albin; Vice Chair-Becky Livingston; Secretary-Dina Hill.
It is our intention to keep you as up to date as possible concerning our work. We will inform you as to where we are in the process and all pertinent information concerning the search. We will not be providing any names or information of any applicants or potential candidates until a recommendation is put forth to the church.
We understand and appreciate the trust you have placed in us and will continually strive to seek God’s will through this process. We ask that you extend grace to us, and that you would pray daily for us, the person that God has already selected for this position, and for the Lanningham family.
