Operation Christmas Child

You can pick up your shoeboxes in the church foyer starting October 22 or build a box online!

The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to provide God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world, and together with the local church worldwide, to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.  Since 1993, more than 178 million children in more than 150 countries have received an Operation Christmas Child shoebox. Many of these children have never received a gift. The Shoebox gift brings them joy and a touch of God’s love. This whole process is made possible by caring individuals who pack shoeboxes full of quality gifts for children in need.

Build-A-Box-Online at our OCC Goal Page

You can click HERE to go to our OCC goal page. Many of the shoeboxes built online are being used for hard to reach areas. Maybe your LIFE Group class members would be interested in participating with this online ministry! The online boxes are $25, shipping included! You get to choose which items to put in your box, plus you can write a note and upload a picture to be included.

National Shoebox Collection Week

We are the area drop-off location again this year. We will be hosting a curb-side drop-off outside under the church portico, the main entrance, the week of November 14-21. You can also drop off your shoeboxes in the church foyer on Sunday mornings in the large wrapped OCC boxes.

This year our Church goal is 1350 filled shoeboxes. Our online goal of 100 shoeboxes is included in the 1350 box goal. With God’s help, we expect to exceed both goals this year!! God is still at work and children all over the world still need to hear about Him!

Packing Your Shoebox

October – November

From children to seniors, people pack shoebox gifts each year to bless children in need around the world. Parents often use the project to teach their kids about giving. Year round volunteers support these efforts across the country.

Churches and groups of all sizes pack and collect boxes from their communities. FBC Rockport serves as a drop-off location for shoeboxes for the upper coastal bend the third week in November of every year.

December

Thousands of volunteers serve annually inspecting and preparing the shoeboxes for international shipping at the OCC regional collection centers. Every hour work stops for a few minutes to pray for the children who will receive the boxes.
